36 N.J. coaches and athletes are banned from their sports. Here’s why. - NJ.com

A well-known New Jersey diving coach was allegedly running an illegal drug dealing operation. A popular Morris County soccer coach was accused of inappropriately touching an 11-year-old player during a private lesson. And the owner of a Monmouth County gymnastics facility was allegedly caught trying to email pornographic images of kids.

They are among at least 36 New Jersey coaches and athletes who have been banned from their sports, according to a growing list maintained by the U.S. Center for SafeSport, the organization created in 2017 by the U.S. Olympic committee to protect young athletes in Olympic sports.
