FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) - Cars lined up Friday for the Good Friday Fish Fry put on by the Fort Wayne Sport Club.
It was the third and final drive-through-style dinner for the spring.
The club served more than 400 meals at its last fish fry, and Friday, there were cars lined up nearly an hour before dinner was served.
"They've been doing it for so many years and I think that it's very important that they continue it, even in the pandemic, just to keep the tradition going if nothing else," said Melissa Eckroth, whose son plays soccer for the club.
Club President Dan Kruse explained most of the club's money is earned during the summer, through Germanfest and summer soccer, but during the winter months, events like their fish fry help to keep them going.
