Allendale junior wins MLive poll for second sport - MLive.com

Allendale’s Hannah Schroeder earned Grand Rapids Player of the Week recognition for her accomplishments on the basketball court this past March.

Schroeder has now won MLive’s most recent poll for her efforts in track and field. Schroeder earned Grand Rapids Athlete of the Week honors for the week of May 17-22. The poll closed Friday morning.

The Falcons junior was a four-time regional champion at the Division 2 meet at Allendale on May 22. Schroeder was first in the 200 dash in 26.42 seconds, and she won the 400 (59.09), long jump (16-10.25) and was the anchor on Allendale’s winning 4-by-400 relay (4:15.83).

Schroeder received nearly 40 percent of the votes cast, enabling her to beat out Hudsonville’s Syd Bosgraaf and Zeeland East’s Ethan Houghtaling. Check out full results below.
