Columbia Athletics Announces Fall Sport Venue and Spectator Policies - Columbia University Athletics - Columbia University Athletics

NEW YORK – Columbia University Athletics has announced spectator guidance for all home fall sport competitions. All policies are in accordance with the University Task Force, city, and state health and safety guidelines. These venue policies and protocols are effective immediately.
 
All spectators in attendance, 12 and older must show proof of vaccination to enter all Columbia Athletics venues. Unvaccinated individuals will not be admitted to any Columbia University Athletics venue. The Reopen CU app will not be sufficient for admission to these venues.
 
Spectators must wear a mask at all indoor and outdoor Columbia Athletics venues and facilities. While attending large outdoor public gatherings, such as a spectator at Wien Stadium, Columbia Field Hockey Stadium, and  Rocco B. Commisso Soccer Stadium, it is important to take recommended precautions of wearing a mask to protect yourself.
 
The following venue policies will be in effect as of today, September 9. All policies are subject to change.
 
Baker Athletic Complex
  • All spectators must be vaccinated for all events at the Baker Athletic Complex.
  • All spectators are required to wear a mask at outdoor Columbia Athletics venues at all times. Spectators aged 5-11 will not be required to be vaccinated, but must wear masks at all times. Spectators under the age of 5 are strongly encouraged to wear face coverings if able. Entry for all events will be at the 1905 gate located west of the main gate (Gate B) on 218th St. and Park Terrace West.
  • Spectators must utilize the entry queues, prior to entering a bag check line.
  • Spectators must show proof of their vaccination in one of the following ways;
 
Unvaccinated individuals will not be admitted to the Complex
 
Baker Athletics Complex Re-Entry
  • Stadium Re-Entry: Exit and return is permitted at Lawrence A. Wien Stadium. All spectators who wish to return to the seating area must retain their physical or digital ticket.
  • Spectators are permitted to leave via the 1905 gate at any point during the game.
  • A spectator re-entering must re-present their vaccination documentation for return entry.
  • Spectators must also re-screen through the bag check upon re-entry.
 
Levien Gymnasium
  • All spectators are required to complete attestation, provide vaccination documentation for admittance.
  • Spectators must show proof of their vaccination in one of the following ways;
  • Masks are required indoors at all times.
  • Disposable masks & fabric masks are acceptable.
  • No neck gaiters, buffs, or masks with valves will be permitted.
  • All spectators must enter Levien Gymnasium through the entrance doors at Broadway and West 120th Street. There will be no entrance through the 4th floor of the Dodge Fitness Center.
  • All spectators must present documentation of vaccination at the entry gate for admission to Levien Gymnasium.
  • Spectators are permitted to leave the gymnasium and return. All spectators will be required to present proof of vaccination upon re-entry.
  • Volleyball spectator attendance will be restricted to student-athlete pass list only due to University COVID protocols and in accordance with NYC Executive Order 225.
All venue and spectator policies are subject to change. All spectators should always take recommended precautions to protect themselves while attending public events and must wear a mask at all Columbia University Athletics indoor and outdoor venues and facilities regardless of vaccination status.
