KSL Olympics Olympians Describe Why Their Chosen Sport Is Best - KSL Sports

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Members of Team USA described why their chosen competition is the best sport around.

“I love that no one can tell me that I’m wrong when I’m running,” Sydney McLaughlin said. “It’s kind of just a form of expression and freedom where I’m just out there doing what I love to do.

“Mountain Biking is, in my humble opinion, the coolest sport,” said Kate Courtney. “You get to go up mountains. You get to go out into forests. You get to  cover so much ground and see so much of the world.

I’m not good with words so that’s the reason I love doing karate,” Sakura Kokumai. “I just go through the movements and it helps me express myself.

People should tune into water polo because water polo is a mix of all your favorite sports,” said Maggie Steffens. “You’ve got swimming. You’ve got soccer, basketball, wrestling. It’s super competitive and it’s really fun.

“For someone that doesn’t know about skateboarding, honestly it’s exciting no matter what because it always comes down to the end” Nyjah Huston said. “It always comes down to that last trick.”
