Men’s Tennis

No. 17 Arizona State men’s tennis (12-3) 7-0’d UNLV (3-8) on Sunday. Results for each match can be found below after the Sun Devils dropped just one set total:

Doubles:

Women’s Tennis

No. 26 Arizona State women’s tennis (9-3, 3-0 Pac-12) stayed undefeated in conference play after besting No. 40 Washington (8-4, 1-3) 5-2 on Sunday.

The Huskies earned the doubles point after two quick wins against the Sun Devils. Nevertheless, Arizona State dominated the singles matches. Sammi Hampton, Lauryn John-Baptiste, Giulia Morlet, Marianna Argyrokastriti and Domenika Turkovic all swept their matches in two sets.

The road trip continues on March 20 with a trip to Cal.

Volleyball

Make nine straight sets and three straight wins for Arizona State volleyball (4-10). The Sun Devils concluded the weekend sweep over Cal (1-15) with another 3-0 (25-17, 25-17, 26-24) victory.

Iman Isanovic led the Sun Devils with 17 kills and a .351 hitting percentage including the set points in the first and second sets. Those sets were controlled by Arizona State most of the way. However, Cal came out fighting in the third set, but the Sun Devils matched the Bears energy. Arizona State closed out the match by securing four of the final five points in the third set.

Freshmen Roberta Rabelo and Marta Levinska combined for 18 kills as well. Once again, Annika Larson led the team in digs and Shannon Shields had a team-high 32 assists.

Arizona State heads to Stanford on March 19 and 21.

Lacrosse

Powered by a furious second-period start, Arizona State lacrosse (3-2, 1-1 Pac-12) returned to the win column after a 21-11 outing against Cal (1-4, 0-2)

Coming out of halftime, the Sun Devils only led by three. Once the whistle blew to open the second period, it was all Arizona State. The Sun Devils went on a 8-1 run in the first 15:21 of the period and seven different Sun Devils scored over that stretch.

Emily Glagolev and Kerri Clayton each had a team-high four scores on Sunday. In total, 11 different Sun Devils had goals against the Golden Bears. Berkeley Bonneau made seven saves in net for the Sun Devils.

Arizona State has one more game on the road at USC on March 19 before returning for home action at the end of the month.

Women’s Golf

Comeback wins are nice, comeback wins over Arizona, that’s a Sun Devil dream. Women’s golf secured a Clover Cup Tournament win after leaping past the Wildcats on the final day.

A -11 third round for the Sun Devils brought home another title after trailing by six shots entering the day. Led by Linn Grant, who won another individual title at -9, and Olivia Mehaffey, who set a program record with a 62 score on Sunday and finished second overall at -8, gave Sun Devil fans more bragging rights to rival Wildcat peers.

Alexandra Forestling (T5, -6), Ashley Menne (T13, -1) and Alessandra Fanali (T17, +2) all finished inside the top 20 as individuals as well.

The Sun Devils return to action for the Ping ASU Tournament starting on March 26.
