Alabama isn’t satisfied with all of its football trophies so now the basketball team is claiming titles for the mantle in Tuscaloosa.

The Crimson Tide clinched the Southeastern Conference’s regular season championship tonight with a win at Mississippi State. The win moved Bama to 14-2 in conference play, two games ahead of Arkansas in the current standings. Arkansas can still move up to share the throne but only if Alabama dropped its next two games against Auburn and Georgia. Very unlikely.

The championship is only the eighth in school history because Kentucky usually does this.
