Sports world reacts to Tiger Woods’ car accident, offers encouraging wishes - OregonLive

Golf legend Tiger Woods was involved in a car crash Tuesday morning in Los Angeles, according to a statement from the L.A. County Sherriff’s Department.

Authorities said Woods was extricated from the wreck with the “jaws of life” by L.A. firefighters and paramedics and then transferred to a local hospital by ambulance for his injuries.

Woods’ agent, Mark Steinberg, issued a statement to Golf Digest stating Woods suffered “multiple leg injuries” and is in surgery.

The news of Woods’ accident hit the sports world hard. A stream of support from professional athletes came following the release of the news:
